There are many ways you can use technology to enhance this strategy and make it more engaging, some examples the books gives are
- multimedia projects with sound, text, image resources
-virtual reflections
-resources that play to our senses
-video/audio recording tools
-Material on the internet that students can access and use

This strategy pushes students to use higher order thinking to develop an understanding of the topic. Before assigning homework of this type, teachers need to confirm students are well versed in the material/concept. Ways to use technology to enhance this strategy include:
- online activities that have students compare/contrast, classify, or evaluate topics in videos
- Use multimedia resources to create a presentation of knowledge and skill

Homework is something that has been made into busy work for the students, instead of deliberate, purposeful work to acquaint the students with a new topic, deepen their knowledge of material, and practice a process or skill. Implementing any of these strategies in my classroom would only benefit my students and my instructional practice. I like that all the strategies have multiple ways technology can play a role, especially as we move more and more to distance/online learning with flipped classrooms. Our students MUST be able to find and utilize tools online that can help them in class.
