Think about it for a minute that Ian rider might not be what we see him as right now what if this man actually had a reason for his death and maybe killed himself or even maybe faked his death and is actually alive and that body they found was a decoy or something while he has ran away because it did say in the beginning of the book that he doesn't really talk or is social around most people. So just think about this what if this is true that would be crazy.
