Make sure that you are logging into CANVAS and completing all assignments in the 12th Grade Online Learning Course. THIS Course Completions IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT.

Essential Education Requirements-Weekly

MO Options students are required to work in Essential Education a minimum of 10 hours per week. If you are missing the LIVE class sessions, then you have 2 responsibilities: (1). YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE WATCHING THE TEACHER VIDEOS IN CANVAS for the LIVE CLASSES YOU ARE MISSING EACH DAY so the system is giving you attendance credit to avoid moving you into the truancy category and putting you in jeopardy of being removed from the program; (2). The state of Missouri requires that we provide proof each month of 16 hours PER WEEK of your attendance and work in our program. If you are not attending LIVE, and not logging in and watching the recordings, then we need the 16 hours of work recorded in Essential Education study time each week or we must remove you from the program.

HiSet Academy Pre-Tests Needed

At the start of the year, if you are a returning MO Options student I loaded practice test for you to take in each of the 5 subject test areas in HiSet Academy so that I can obtain a baseline score for each of the subject tests that you have left to take for the HiSet test.

FOR THE NEW STUDENTS THAT ARE BRAND NEW THIS YEAR TO MO OPTIONS: You need to go into each subject area in HiSet Academy and the first time you enter each subject area it should automatically trigger you to take a practice test so that we can get a baseline test score for you in each subject area.

This lets us know what subject areas are your strength and weakness and we can put them in order of what we should focus on you trying to test in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.

Health and Financial Literacy Courses

1st Quarter Ends Oct 15th!

Are all your course grades 60% or higher? *This includes your Online Learning Course which is required for graduation.
Your goal was to have studied and prepared to have taken and passed 1 HiSet test by the end of 1st quarter. If you have not done so, then your learning plan is going to put you on pace to need to take 2 to 3 tests in 2nd quarter. Your study effort determines your graduation outcome in this program. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE 3rd QUARTER TO TRY TO DO IT ALL BECAUSE WITH WINTER WEATHER--TEST CENTER CLOSE DOWN AND TESTING APPOINTMENTS FILL QUICKLY BECAUSE EVERY STUDENT HAS THE SAME THEORY--I CAN WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE---and guess what happens?? We have students who DO NOT make it to the graduation stage because they have not completed all graduation requirements by the May 1 deadline.

Do you have your State Issue ID Card for HiSet Testing?

If you do not have an official issued state of Missouri ID Card (Driver's License or Non-Driver's id or Passport) you need to add this to your PRIORITY LIST. You will not be able to take ANY official HiSet tests until you HAVE ONE!

Graduation Deadlines for MO Options

December Graduation Deadlines: All work must be completed and submitted by DECEMBER 17, 2025 from your GRADUATION CHECK LIST.
MAY Graduation Deadlines: All work must be completed and submitted by May 1, 2026 from your GRADUATION CHECKLIST.

Accuplacer Testing at MOVA in DEC.
