They make us happy in hard times and give us a companion to talk to, hang out with or be there in a hard time. Your family is by your side everyday. They are who truly love you and care for your needs.

Owen and Mzee are a hippo and tortise that became family to each other! Owen the hippo had been abandoned by his family and Mzee took him in. For us in Kansas, we just witnessed a gathering. The MLB World Series Parade was held and people from all around the country came. No one argued or rebuked another, we where all there for one reason. We had a good time too!

Relationships with family, friends, and others can bring a joy into our life that could never have been achieved alone. Humor and fun also come with relationships. When you are with a friend, a good friend that you know and have a strong bond with. It is almost promised that you will make some sort of joke or partake in an event that brings you both some happiness. The boy in "Treating everyone as family" was sad and alone at the beginning of the story. He later makes friends with some of the people in his new town. This makes him happy and comfortable. He no longer feels alone.

This bond of trust is vital for the relationship to flourish. Animals such as dogs trust their owners and obey their commands. My cat (seen below) does not trust me. Let's look at Owen and Mzee, their bond and trust. Owen fully trust Mzee and he treats him as family. Owen even becomes protective of Mzee.
