This is also network diffusion because of the networks between China and Italy. The Chinese government closed Wuhan when they knew that it was dangerous. Contagious Diffusion: is one of the main ways that the virus spread at the beginning. Especially in big cities with high population density. The virus is contagious and can be passed from people being close to each other. An example is the Bangkok BTS, there are many people packed in a sky train which can make the spread of virus very quick by coughing and sneezing without wearing a mask. Solution to this is to have a 1 meter rule, so that the virus cannot spread quickly. 

Hirerarchial diffusion: This happened in a lot of places, for example in Bangkok. It spread to Bangkok because of flights from China, then people who travelled by public transport back to the north or back the their homes outside of the city.
