  • "A teenage girl sports saddle shoes in 1937.These shoes-often come in black and white, these shoes became very popular in the 1950s. Sometimes girls would wear a poodle skirt with saddle shoes."
  • "Saddle shoes were white shoes with a black or brown piece of leather across the middle. Saddle shoes were just as common back then as sneakers are today."

  • “One fun version of the fifties full skirt was the poodle skirt.” 
  • “Poodle Skirts were popular with teenage girls, who often wore them to dances.”
  • The skirt had a poodle sewed on to the front of the skirt and they were most likely some sort of pink.
  • “Poodle Skirts did not always contain a poodle, sometimes it had a flower or flamingo.”
