1.Things I learned in today's lesson.
I learned about core ideas of energy, law of conservation of energy and scientific inquiry method. Besides, I had a quick recap on how to create Augmented Reality.

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me are the method on how to teach these subtopics to the students. These topics consist of many important terms and it is very crucial that all the students that I will be teaching in the future understand it well. Inserting videos as part of the lesson also increases my knowledge and understanding on the topic.

3. Things I found interesting.
I found that doing experiments in the midst of classroom was very engaging and interactive since it helps us to get a better understanding on the specific subtopic. Besides, having a simple steps on the potentional and kinetic songs will be very useful for me since I am able to use it in the future during my lessons.

4. How will this knowledge help me as a science teacher.
Knowing about the curriculum and framework will help me to understand better on how to implement the teaching and learning process of this Energy topic in real life application. Students might know what is energy but they can't relate it to their real life suroundings. So, by conducting experiments, students will have a hands-on experiments in which they can relate to.

Week 4 : Misconceptions on the different forms of Energy

1.Things I learned in today's lesson.
Before the lessonis begun, I had to wear my recap helmet on. I had to review on the different Forms of Energy. Since I was absent last week, this recap was very useful for me since I got to learn a lot. The things that I learned today was about the misconceptions. There are many misconceptions that students have. An example of misconception is "The steam is the white stuff coming out from the sprout." To address this misconception, teaechers can explain, "steam is invisible vapor which is created with the conversion of boiling water into hot water vapor and the white stuff is the mist condensed by the steam losing heat to the surroundings." Moreover, I learned on the difference between heat and temperature. Heat is the amount of being hot whereas temperature is the degree of hotness and coldness. Example of natural source of heat is Sun and Fire. There are many artificial heat as well such as the water heater.

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me is why do we see a specific colour on an object. The reason behind it is because it is an opaque object. Opaque object will reflect certain colours and will absorb the rest. For example, if we see red colour object, it means that the object absorbs the other colours except Red.

3. Things I found interesting.
I found that the image that is seen in reality is actually inverted when it goes through the retina. This situation occurs because the eyes and brain works together in order to project the image up-right.

4. How will this knowledge help me as a science teacher.
Knowing about the curriculum and framework will help me to plan the experiments that I would like to carry out with my future students. By having experiments, students will have better understanding on the knowledge that were delivered to them. An example of experiment that can be carried on States of Matter is by demonstrating using an ice-cream. Having ice-cream as part of the experiment, students will have more interest and they will pay more attention towards the main purpose on why the experiments are carried out by the teachers.

1.Things I learned in today's lesson.
The class begun with lesson plan presentation and research paper on misconceptions. Then, we continued with learning on transformation of energy.

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me are the definition of transformation and transference of energy. Transformation - energy transformation is changing one form of energy to another. Transference - energy transfer is the movement of energy form one location to another.

3. Things I found interesting.
I found that doing Kahoot quiz, makes me realise how much I understand the topic and which area I should focus more. By doing this quiz, I have gain more understanding on the topics that I have learned last week and this week lessons.

4. How will this knowledge help me as a science teacher.
Knowing about the curriculum and framework will help me to know the types of methods on how I can deliver the topic well and how to make the lesson interesting and knowledgable. Inserting videos and real-life activity, will make the students have a clearer understanding.

1.Things I learned in today's lesson.
I learned about the misconceptions of the transformation of energy and how to address those misconceptions. One of the misconception that students have is that, students feel that when we eat food, it does not produce any energy. This misconception can be address by introducing chemical energy as a source of food.

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me are I didn't knew that potato can conduct electricity. By conducting an experiment using potatoes and coin, it will show that electrical energy is present and electricity is produced. This can be an alternative source when there is a power supply shortage.

3. Things I found interesting.
I found that group 2 experiment that is related to energy transformation is very interesting. Introducing the 'dancing battery' will be very good since it will engage the students towards the experiment and they will pay more attention. Besides, the elaboration part, they inserted a hands-on activity in which it requires the students to move the answers written on the paper.

4. How will this knowledge help me as a science teacher.
Knowing about the curriculum and framework will help me to know about the misconceptions that students have related to this topic. Knowing it early, it will be easier for me to address it beforehand and I can avoid these misconceptions while I am teaching the particular topic.

1.Things I learned in today's lesson.
I learned about the core ideas in the Force topic. There are many misconceptions that students have on the force topic. But the correct scientific explanation for force is "a push or a pull on an object with mass that can cause it to change its velocity (to accelerate)".

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me are the difference between gravitational force and normal force.

The normal force is a force perpendicular to the surface on which the object is laying. It is what keeps the object from falling through the surface.

The reaction force of gravitational force is the force an object exerts on EARTH. Not on the surface it is laying!

The reaction force of the normal force is the force the object exerts on the surface it is laying upon.

The normal force IS NOT the reaction force of gravitational force, it is only equal in magnitude in a few situations!

3. Things I found interesting.
I found that based on the Singapore syllabus, there are 2 years gap in between. Students ill learn about force in primary 3 and they will learn again in primary 6. The reason on why this occur because the syllabus is based on thematic and it follows spiral method of teaching.

4. How will this knowledge help me as a science teacher.
Knowing about the curriculum and framework will prepare me on what I should teach and how will I teach my students. Students might related force to the formula F=MA but they will not understand why is the formula such way. By having the knowledge on this topic, it will help me to teach my future students well.

There are many things that I learned which involves the gravitational force and normal force. Besides, I got to know more about the Galileo's Experiment at the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Galileo performed an experiment from the top of the leaning tower of Pisa. He dropped two spheres of different weight and observed that both hit the ground at the same time. Galileo correctly reasoned that when an object falls more slowly, it is due to air resistance. An object moving solely under the influence of gravity is said to be in free fall; near the surface of the Earth such an object falls at an acceleration of 9.8 .

2. Things that are new to me.
The things that are new to me are the definition of the terms:
Force - push or pull

Contact force - need touching or being in contact to produce an effect

Non contact force - does not required touching or being in contact to produce effect

Balanced forces - forces are equal in size from different directions, net force is 0

Unbalanced forces - forces that are not equal in size from different directions, net force is not 0

3.
