1. In one or two lines summarize what the article about and give the link in case your colleague/ fellow classmate want to read it .

This article indicated that when COVID-19 pandemic took a place, it showed how it is so important to see and acknowledge how viruses and things that could cause infections would be transferred in a matter of time in environments that are closed such as an ambulance or EMS vehicles.

By transporting patients that have COVID-19 in an ambulance (closed environment), this article showed the infection risks for EMS services in these ambulances and effectiveness of masks and PPE.

https://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/177390/3/EMS_R1_final-preproof.pdf .

2. Who is the author? Why do you think they are trustworthy or not trustworthy?

Amanda M. Wilson, Rachael M. Jones, Veronica Lugo Lerma , Sarah E. Abney, Marco Felipe King , Mark H. Weir , Jonathan D. Sexton , Catherine J. Noakes , Kelly A. Reynolds.

The authors are in departments and studied things that are so much related to the infection control and how it would be spread.

3. What type of evidence is the content of the article based on ? For example, it is just expert opinion or there is scientific evidence presented ? What strength of scientific evidence?

The evidences that were given were much likely to be both. As mentioned, the authors are experts on the topic of the article. They have given expert opinions as scenarios and relating them to scientific evidences that are well known and have a lot of proofs and explaining how and why the infections are spreading by telling the scenarios.

The study that they have given was based on EMS workers that were exposed to the virus and the transmission of it. By giving an example of the droplet transmission and how they could use the cloth mask to prevent and reduce the spread of infection by droplet emission.

two scenarios were discussed:

The first patient had COVID-19 and transferred it while the other patient in the second scenario does not have the COVID-19 but there is contamination from the previous ambulance ride. Then the examined the scenarios and the effectiveness of the cloth mask or PPE equipment's for the patients and responders.

4. Do the author cite the evidence? Are you able to fined the source of their information to verify it if you wanted to ?

yes, the sources cited can be verified.

5. In summary, how do you feel about credibility and trustworthiness of this article as a source of information ?

The information that has been presented in the article is trustworthy. Since the authors have extensive knowledge in the topic at hand and are neither supported or funded by any organizations having an interest in the outcome, the information they have provided should be trusted and accepted. To further expand the article's effectiveness and usage, they also incorporated resources from other articles. The article is quite helpful and knowledge-filled, but spending time looking and reading at other articles would also be beneficial. By comparison, there may be an article with much more information.
