I started my career teaching Sealions in the UK and soon moved on to small humans. I taught at a vocational college in the UK for 3 years where I was a course manager for an Animal Science qualification, age 16 - 20+ year olds. Science and nature is my passion and subject specialism.

I am involved with the Tritech Science Expositions at the school. I love to travel with the pupils to different schools to showcase their projects. The PowerPoint attached it a resource I made to help prepare them for their project design.

Community Outreach Projects.

Our school supports various local outreach projects. For the past 2 years, the pupils and teachers have supported the Itumeleng drop-in centre at Mashishimale. The centre provides a daily meal for local children who have limited access to food. We collect various starches and food items throughout the year and deliver the donations every month. At Christmas, we give them a monetary donation to help improve their facilities. We also support a Santas Shoe Box Project in Tzaneen. The teachers and pupils are involved in both projects.

Book Club!

Phalaborwa is a quiet mining town with limited activities. I am part of a great book club which I thoroughly enjoy. We all love the same kind of novels.... adventure travel books. We all recently completed the Seven Sisters set by Lucinda Riley. These are excellent books, which I will never forget.

ECO Schools WESSA

I am responsible for the Eco-schools programme at the school. We are currently working towards the International Flag for WESSA. I motivate school projects with the staff and pupils and we have many exciting projects in 2025 for local wildlife initatives.

Creative Arts Lessons.
