There were multiple tempting courses to choose from but the course I wish to study the most is Industrial Design and Technology at Brunel University. If I were to go to one of my other university choices though I would study Graphic Design. I have read the overview and course content for each of these universities and I am most interested in the course from Brunel Universities as I feel I will be able to apply the majority of my skills here, not only in design but also in practical work.

I have been thinking about what I want to do after I finish studying at Uxbridge College. For a short while I was set on the idea of joining the London Fire Brigade but have decided against this idea as I believe my skills would be better suited elsewhere. I have decided the I want to become a Graphics or Design Technology teacher in a secondary school. In order to become this I wish to go to university and become a full time student.

I have looked into this and I think this is the best route for me to take as I enjoy helping people achieve, and reach there full potential. Also I think this would be a good environment to put the skills and techniques I have learnt throughout my life into place. I have done lots of volunteer work within the Scouting Industry which is primarily me working with kids, being able to talk with them, arrange and set up events for them as well as calming them down and teaching them new skills and badges.

I have, with my tutor, looked at several different universities and the courses available. I have put Brunel, Kingston, Middlesex, Bournemouth and Norwich as my 5 choices. I live close to Brunel so if I went here I would be able to work from home, reducing my living costs and also keep my part-time job at Screwfix.
