The children in the classroom get to watch as the caterpillars eat, grow, and shed there skin, until eventually they form a chrysalis and hatch from it. The Children in the class get very excited to see the butterfly drying its wings off, but then they get sad as the teacher says that they are going to release the butterflies. The teacher explains that they are doing this because the butterflies need to fly down south to Mexico for the winter. In this video, kids are examining butterflies in nature. The children are identifying different species of butterflies. This video lets students see that they can go outside and actually examine butterflies and the stages of their life cycle.
