My first day at LT was mid year and I was so nervous. Marilyn came in often to check in on me and reassure me that I was going to be ok. I will miss your energy, your honesty, and your work ethic. I remember my first day, you told me "you and I are going to be best friends working with our ASD babies". That has been true since day one. I appreciate you and all that you have done for LT.

Last year was my first year back in the classroom after a decade! I also never taught an upper grade, so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The first day of school arrives and Marilyn came in to my classroom to check and see how I was doing. I was so nervous but she said something to me in Spanish (I don't remember what it was) but it translated to "pay it forward." Meaning I will help you today so you can help many tomorrow. That's Marilyn in a nutshell, always willing to help wherever it's needed. She was helpful in ways I'm sure she doesn't even realize and I will be forever grateful!!

I still remember my first day at linden tree when I came as a sub para for Marilyn's daughter. She met me with a smile and kindness. she is so helpful, an amazing teacher that has a lots of patience and love.

I will miss her smile and her beautiful soul.

You fiercely led our special needs students to thrive in the face of despair. You continue to teach them to cherish & nurture their exceptional gifts despite what the world may tell them.
