Value often means the number of something, however in finance it can be used to show the worth or importance of an asset. Companies, can determine the value of something by the amount of profit it makes. Usually, an assest with the greatest value, is the most expensive. This divides people in who can and cannot afford very valuable items.

Value can also be determined by how rare the item is or what it is made from. (Kenton, 2020)

1. Point of Purchase: usually placed next to till or entrance and exits. For display of fast moving items, cheap items, and popular goods, sale items, or items close to the expiry date. Customers cant miss these displays.

2. Gondola: These are two sided displays so are best placed in the centre of a store. Ususally free standing and can be moved around easily. Good to hold any heavy goods as they are usually constructed from steel.

3. Table displays: usually for craft items or smaller merchindise. Sometimes decorated and changed for seasonal use.

4. Garment racks: used for clothes

Specialty displays: for any out of the ordinary items. if you sell chilled or refrigerated goods, you will need an open display where goods are kept fresh but are still accessible to your customers. Research has shown that customers are more likely to buy items from an open refrigerated display unit than a closed unit. Specialty units are also used for wine and luxury goods such as jewelry.

6. Peg Boards: Grid wall systems are light and easily customizable. Move shelving around and attach hooks to suit. Grid walls are easy to clean and don’t attract dust in the same way as some other types of display units. Don’t forget to select display units in keeping with your brand, so a luxury brand needs high-end displays made from expensive materials. (Editor, 2017)
