The definition of the paper is, it is soft, easy to handle, it is 3D, it is could make sounds, it is squishy and etc. Most of the artists are like to use the papers for their art works, because they now the exact value of the papers and how they could get their exact effect that they are trying to make by using the papers.

First, I have entered into the room, I saw lots of the materials that we have provided. So, I thought to make something by using the papers. I decided to make a solar system by using the papers, newspapers, paints, paint brushes, glue, sticky tape and cardboard. I squeezed the newspapers and the papers and made some balls for make the sun and the planets. Then I have painted them with the paints that have provide at that time. After that I have cut the cardboard and painted it too. Then kept the paper balls on the cardboard by using the sticky tapes and the glue.

“Paper flaps, floats, glides, hovers, soars, tears, rips, sways, flies, rolls, gathers, crumples, crimps, accepts, folds, bends, covers, swishes, flutters, pauses, bunches, scatters, yields. We breathe it in, we blow it out. We launch it, chew it, paste it, wear it, elevate it, wrap with it, read it, draw on it, flip it, collect it, paint it, propel it, drape it, colour it. We open, envelop, fill, empty, catch, tie, write, arrange, twist, turn, rearrange, uncover, recover, unroll, wave, fasten, crinkle, tickle, clothe, amplify, circulate, sweep, undress, redress.” (Pacini-Ketchbaw, 2016 p31).

When teaching for the children about the solar system I will provide opportunity for them to create their own space. For that activity I will provide the different types of materials that they could use for creating their own space by using them. On the other hand, I will use the videos that are related to the planets and from that experience children will learn about the space by getting fun for their lives too. By doing this activity, children will develop their cognitive skill, creativity, fine motor skill as well as their social skills. When they are doing this activity, they will get a brief knowledge about the solar system and it will easy for them to keep it their mind in the correct way.

Loose parts have different feelings for the different people get feeling in different ways. There are some junk materials that feel them soft and smooth, there are some rough. Materials are easy to handle when want to make the things by using them also some are hard to handle them and get the exact output what I am trying to make by using the materials that I am planning to do. Junk materials are helping to develop the fine motor skills. By using the materials people are being creative in different ways. Loose parts could move, reusable, valuable, crunchy, it could squishy, those are could cut into pieces and etc.

“Materials are described as “bones” of curriculum (Carter & Curtis, 2007) in a developmental progression from exploration to representation. Often, instructions on how to organize and arrange materials are first provided so that children will learn the materials’ properties and functions. Then, as they become more familiar with the materials, children are encouraged to use them to represent ideas and objects.” (Pacini-Ketchbaw, 2016 p12).

I have got so many loose parts at my home and I have decided to make something by using them that are useful for the children for their learning and the developments. I am currently working at a child care centre and in one room they have arrange an experience for the children about the feelings that they get, and they could make their own feelings by using the materials that made from the cloths.

According to me clay is a material that could use for making different kind of things easily. It is easy to handle and feel very soft when squeezing with the hands. It gives a texture and smell too. By using clay, people making different kind of things that are useful for their everyday life. It is made by the nature and gives more valuable things for the whole world. Clay is not harmful for the human as well as the animals.

“Young children are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through multiple paths and all their “languages,” including the expressive, communicative, symbolic, cognitive, ethical, metaphorical, logical, imaginative, and relational (Reggio Children, 2010, p. 4). Children experiment and develop competencies in using spoken language, gestures, drawing, painting, building, clay and wire sculpture, shadow play, collage, dramatic play, music, and emerging writing, to name but a few.” (Edwards. C, 2011 p7)

The day that we have the clay session there were two types of clay and some loose parts have provided for us to make our own creative things by using them. I got a piece of clay and I was thinking what could I make by using this? When I was thinking I got an idea that I could make a rose from the clay because, I have ability to make the roses and ii have learned it earlier. Hence, I made a rose by using by both hand and the fingers. When I am making the rose, I squeezed the clay with my fingers to make it soft and then make the balls by rolling them after that I have touched the balls by using my first two fingers to convert the balls into the petals of the rose. After made the rose I thought to make a butterfly for make the rose more beautiful.

By thinking of this question, I began to think that how could I use clay for my everyday teaching practice. It gives so many valuable things for the living and the non-living things in the world. People are using the light in different ways according to their interests and the needs. In the early learning sector, we use the light for getting help for the children’s learning and development in different ways.

“It is necessary to go beyond what ateliers have progressively introduced into schools, such as the choice of materials and the use of certain techniques. Without diminishing the value of work that has been done, we should become more aware of the importance of the competencies that are necessary and the quality of the processes deriving from the work done.” (Gandini, L, 2016 p19)

In light session we have provided the different types of light and some loose parts for make our own patterns and the shadows by using the. I have done a solar system by using the paper, when I saw the materials that we have provided that I thought could I extent the solar system lesson by using the light and the other materials. So, I have used a CD for the sun and used some pompom balls for the planets. There were some stars that made from the cardboard, I have used it as the stars of the sky. I have made a video of how the light made patterers through the CD. It made a shadow on sealing and it gives the imagination of the solar system in the space.
