I am proud to say that we were able to raise Php 4,654. As the class mayor, I was in charge of overseeing the different committees, and my number one tip is to practice effective communication. By organizing the committees, assigning their respective leaders, and trusting them, we were able to speed up the process. I also recommend giving specific tasks with enough time for the committees, while checking up on their progress every once in a while.
Since this was a class project, it was important to stay patient and respectful throughout the whole process. Despite the fact that we were still in full online class and so many students resided outside of Metro Manila or outside of the Philippines, we learned to adapt to their situations while still including them fully in the project. Our motto was to "leave no man behind"!

It's my understanding that YPA likely means to refer to group projects as it is necessary to facilitate peace within the group in order to be able to move forward with the project. I have been in group projects that didn't result badly, but I wouldn't really go so far as to say that they were very successful -- however, I can say that they met their goals and filled the requirements. The number one thing that's important in these types of projects is communication. Often, a lack of this is what results in downfall. A group cannot exist in any way other than nominally if there is no communication between its members.

Some tips that I have from the experience is that joint discussions and contributions are a must in a successful project. It's very difficult if you will do it independently. Also, you shouldn't just jump to the end of the project right away. You have to go through several processes first to have a successful project.

With the money earned, our school helped the funding for the growth of many saplings. I learned that even the smallest things could benefit the world if we use them properly, so I will definitely bring that lesson to mind until I retire because it will help me bring success to my future goals.

It was the Trash-to-Trees program if I recall correctly. The project called for us students to gain funds by accumulating our trash which we'd sell to a junkshop. Said funds would be used to purchase saplings that would be planted in the hopes of improving the environment. 

This project re-iterated the importance of planning out a course of action and communicating in order to achieve your goals. The process of gathering, sorting and storing the trash was tedious and issues with sorting out the recyclables and finding a junkshop did little to help. Still, profits were made.
