An Architect
An Engineer
A Project Manager
(And we were supposed to listen to ASA (Australian Space Agency) but our relief teacher forgot.) (Even if our time-table was on her desk :I)
And we had 4 Marryatville High-Schoolers come and talk to us about all of the cool STEM things that they do.

We made some boats that we tested to see if they were water-worthy. I can't remember how many ours held, but it ended up capsizing. THe people in my group were Mark, Tom H, and Boz. The people's boat that won held 53 MARBLES!!

But if we are lucky enough to do this AMAZING experience again, I hope that we ALL get to see EVERYTHING, since missing out on the Space Agency ruined my whole day.

What I enjoyed:
I really enjoyed dressing up and learning about many people. I loved learning how to use TinkerCad.

I was inspired by Hugo's Mum, Rebecca. She is an inspiration to everybody. My Mum was a Project Manager as well, but I never really found much interest in this job, until I realised how fun it was to be a Project Manager.

I was really inspired by the Year 11 Students from Marryatville High School. It was really nice. We had to design a boat out of only 10 straws, 2 sheets of A4 paper and unlimited sticky tape, which could hold as much marbles as possible. Our boat was made of 10 straws, soooooooooooo much sticky tape, and NO PAPER, because our group knew that as soon as paper got soggy, the boat would sink. It ended up holding 23 marbles!

But I was most inspired by...
REBECCA THE PROJECT MANAGER!

What did I learn?
I learnt that not only are there only one type of engineer, but there are so many! And that both Rebecca (The Project Manager) and Ben (The Civil Engineer) really wanted more women to be part of the 'E' (Engineering) in STEM.

Thank you to Miss Carter and all the teachers for making this the 1st and the most wonderful STEM day ever!
And, thank you to all the presenters today, you are all very inspiring.
