         <description><![CDATA[<div>- most of the scholars agree that the ottoman turk rulers were tolerant of the other religions.<br>- those who weren't muslim were categorized by the millet system which was something that minority groups limited the amount of power to control their own affairs while still under ottomans rule.<br>- some of the millets paid taxes, while others were exempt.<br>-the ottomans allowed religions of the book to be organized in millets.<br>-  Non- muslim had to be a part of a millet to be considered a citizen of the empire. </div>]]></description>
