         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>What suppressed wants, needs, and even memories force their way through symbolically in hallucinations for Macbeth?                                                                                   Macbeth's unconscious desire to be king is brought forward after knowing the prophecy from the witches. After the murder, he has guilt at first, as shown from the hallucination of the ghost of Banquo, but as the play progresses, his better self is being destroyed by his ambitious and murderous desire.</li><li>What unconscious desires come through Lady Macbeth's behavior? </li></ol><div>                    Lady Macbeth's suppressed feelings are revealed during her sleep. She feels pity and remorse even though she shows a harsh exterior. She desires to have a child and she feels guilt over murdering Duncan. Her suppressed fear is able to come out in her sleepwalking, showing that her bravery and strength was not what her true self is.</div>]]></description>
