*Love is similar to the river.This is  because love can be drowning. Unable to save and stand up for yourself drowned in others opinion. 

love it is a razor (metaphor). that leaves your soul(personification) to bleed. 
*Love can sometimes be painful. it hurts physically and emotionally for some. 

some say love it is a hunger (metaphor) an endless aching need. 

As for some it is compared to the need of food. a never ending need of human as it is the boost of life. 

 I say love it is a flower  (metaphor)
And you it's only seed 

for this person it is beautiful like a flower. and he only sees this beauty in this one particular person not in anything else. 

all stanza 3 is personification
scared in many ways rejecting the feeling he had. not ,mustering his courageousness to tell that person. not learning from the mistakes and would rather bury the feeling than making the move. afraid the person never steps up

all stanza 4 metaphor 
the road has been too long (imagery sight)
the bitter snow (imagery taste)
that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose (imagery sight )

being lonely, he comes into realization. thinking love is only for the lucky and strong but remember the seed under the winter blooms when spring hits with help of sun meaning it takes time slowly to bloom the love.

METAPHOR - love is a river, love is a razor, love is a hunger and love is a flower. These are the metaphor because they compared love as a razor and flower which means that love can be beautiful but it can also hurt you at the same time. 

PERSONIFICATION - heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance, soul afraid of dying that never learns to live. 

HYPERBOLE - love is a razor, that with the sun's love, just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows.
