The Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, produces around 50 films a week, after India's Bollywood. That's more than Hollywood in the United States. Although its revenues are not comparable to those of Bollywood and Hollywood, Nollywood still generates an impressive $ 590 million annually. If the industry is properly managed, one million more jobs could be created in this sector. The World Bank is currently assisting the Nigerian government in creating a project for growth and jobs in the states to support the entertainment industry along with other industries. Without initial government support, Nollywood has positioned itself in the position it is in today, and a small climb could propel the industry even higher.

Nigeria is a country in West Africa and called the „Gigant of Africa“. The country has a area of 923.768 km² and the highest mountain in the country is the chappal waddi with a height of 2419m. The capital of Nigeria is Abuja with a population of 1.2 million. Nigeria shares land borders with the Republic of Benin in the west, Chad and Cameroon in the east and Niger in the north. The coast lies on the Gulf of Guinea are located in the south and it borders Lake Chad to the northeast. Noted geographical features are the Niger Delta which is the third largest delta in the world. To that Nigeria is founded in the tropics and the climate is seasonally damp and very humid. Also, Nigeria is affected by four climate types. The climate types are generally graduated from south to north.

Climate
Nigeria have a tropical monsoon climate with variable rainy and dry seasons, which is depending on location. The tropical monsoon climate has a very small temperature range. The climate is influenced by the monsoons originating from the south Atlantic Ocean.
The southern part of Nigeria experiences heavy and abundant rainfall. It is hot and wet most of the year in the southeast but dry in the southwest. This is a savanna climate, which Markes wet and dry seasons. The temperature and humidity remain relatively constant throughout the year in the south.
During the northern dry season the daily temperature are steady throughout the year: about 32 °C.
The Intertripical Convergence Zone swinging northward over the west Africa from the southern Heisphere.

Topography
Nigeria’s most expansiv topographical region is that of the Niger and Benue River valleys , which merge into each other.
To the southwest of Niger there is "rugged” highland, and to the southeast of the Benue hills and mountains are found all the way to the border with Cameroon.

Vegetation
Nigeria is covered by three types of vegetation the forests, savannas and the montane land. The Forrest are significant through tree covers, the savanna are insignificant through tree cover, with grasses and flowers located between trees and the montane land are founded in mountains near the Cameroon border. The Forrest zone and the Savannah zone are also divided into three parts. Most southerly portion is the forrest zone, especially around the Niger River and the Cross River Deltas are mangrove swamp. North of it is fresh water swamp, containing different vegetation from the salt water mangrove swamps. In the north of that is Rain Forrest. The savanna zone three categories are divided into the Guinean Forrest-savanna mosaic made up of plains of tall grass with trees, the most common across the country is the Sudan Savanne with short grasses and short trees and the Sahel Savanne patches of grass an sand founded in the northeast.

Nature
Nigeria diverse landscape make it ideal for a broad range of plants and animals, many special species live nowhere else on earth. A few years ago Nigerias savanna’s teemed with giraffes, elephants, lions and co but today most of these animals have been killed by hunters.

He was born on 17 December 1942 in Daura. After a military coup from 1983 to 1985 he became the governor of his country. He has been president of Nigeria since May 2015. Muhammadu was born into a Muslim family and was the 13th child. After attending primary and secondary schools in Daura and Kaduna, he joined the Nigerian Armed Forces in 1962. 1974-1975 he became military governor and overthrew the democratically elected president of the II Republic, Shehu Shagari. After this coup, he pursued a strongly nationalistic policy. After disputes within the military, he was overthrown by General Ibrahim Babangida in a palace coup in 1985 and imprisoned until 1988. Later, he returned to politics in 1999 and ran for the presidential election. One of the biggest problems in Nigeria is child labour. Around15 million children under 14 years ( old Nigerian children) have to work and can't go to school. They families are so poorthat they can't live from the money that they parents earn. Often the children’s jobs are very dangerous or bad for thechildren's health. Often the children don’t even get paid fortheir work or they are blackmailed and indimitadet. Also, therisk of sexual abuse is very high and for woman. The childrenwho have to work don’t have a normal childhood and have toworry every day. They have to work to stay alive and keeptheir families from bigger problems.

Their are nationwide protests against police Brutality mostly by young people. Nowadays the protest also stand up as a social revolution, they want more jobs, better schools, better infrastructure and an end of all corruption. Therefore stand the #EndSARS
It all began with the formation of SARS against the enormous crime rates in the 90’.
But instead of fighting the crimes, they became even worse then them and targeted dressed well nigerian people or people with an IPhone. With a manthly Nicole of about 350$, around 70 million Nigerians are living on less than one US Dollar a day. Low human development level, social conflicts and environmental degradation are just a few problems which characterizes the current state of development in Nigeria. The wasting oil resources have many implications. They may affect socioeconomic and politcal developments of the country as well as have considerable enviromental implications. While natural resource reserves, such as oil conotitute a potential blessing for the country that owns them, they turn out to be a curse in most cases. In fact, heavy dependence on the export of natural resources has been shown to negatively affect a country‘s economic, social and political development.

Economic implications:
- oil revenues tend to displace more stable and sustainable revenue flows.
- the agricultural sector is negelected, leading to an impoverishment of the nural population
- foreign debt accumulation

Social and political implications:
- oil dependence has been linked with unusually high poverty rates, poor health care high rates of child mortality, reduced expenditures on social services, poor educational performance.
-Strong tendency towards corruption.
- natural resources tend to considerably increase the chances of civil conflicts in a country.
- environmental degradation
