Now I know what are the five types of context clues, the Definition, Synonym, Antonym, Restatement, and Example. This lesson helps me to understand to identify hints in a sentence, paragraph, or in a passage and it helps me to figure out the meaning of the unknown word. This lesson is important for me because it improves my comprehension and effective usage leads to the academic success. I have learned many lessons in the 2nd quarter like analyzing literature that means closely studying a text, interpreting its meaning and exploring why the author made certain choices. I can relate to this lesson because it is choosing and focusing a topic, gathering, presenting and analyzing textual evidence and it is a vital stage in the development of student's critical thinking skills. So this lesson is important for me because it demonstrate why the author used specific ideas, word choices, or writing structures to convey his or her message. So that's all I can remember of what I have learned in the 2nd quarter.
