         <description><![CDATA[<p><sup>1)</sup>They did not treat them fairly because after a while they started claiming land that wasn't there's and decided that they were gonna take over their lands and establish their own regulations also making the Khoi-Khoi people into slaves </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>2) The dutch arrived one-day in their big ship , they were like nothing I'd seen before they had utilities we didn't have . </p><p><br/></p><p>We started trading our livestock and vegetables with them for things like gunpowder .</p><p><br/></p><p>They started to treat us unfairly going against our culture , they wanted to colonize us and they did</p><p><br/></p><p>3)It affected their daily lives and they were unable to make independent decisions. It also affected their culture and traditional ways of living.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>4) After a while , they released that they were actually loosing their wealth and dutch were actually using them to eventually take over their land .</p><p><br/></p><p>Also the dutch decided that the Khoi-Khoi had to move their settlements further away from the Dutch stations / settlements and in the Khoi-Khoi culture there was no such thing as "private property".</p><p><br/></p><p>5)The Khoi-Khoi and the San</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) no they did not because they worked for the VOC and did not get paid because they were threatened </p><p><br></p><p>2) The Dutch treated people like animals beating them daily.They used us daily treating us like slaves. Separated us from our families for their own benefit</p><p><br></p><p>3) It changed the lifestyle of Khoikhoi because they couldn't go hunting because the Dutch has taken over the land and hunting the animals for themselves </p><p><br></p><p>4)The san and Khoikhoi traded thier cattle with the Dutch for gun powder etc the san ran  out and became poor so that is how the conflict started</p><p><br></p><p>5) The san and the Khoikhoi </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1.The VOC did not treat the indigenous people fairly. They took their land, exploited their resources and labour, and used violence to assert control. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>2.Our land is no longer ours to play freely. The Dutch have taken our cattle and our grazing grounds leaving us to struggle to survive. I see my family worried and fearful, our family's way of life is crumbling before my own eyes. The Dutch are always there taking and taking but never giving back. </p><p><br/></p><p>3.The arrival of the Dutch in 1652 led to the Khoikhoi losing their land and grazing rights. This disrupted their traditional way of life. </p><p><br/></p><p>4.Conflict arose between the khoikhoi and Dutch settlers due to land disputesand livestock theft.
