With their family then dispersed, Malcolm was sent to a foster home, followed by going to Roxbury, Mass., in 1941 where he lived with his half-sister, Ella Collins. This was a lot for Malcolm, but he handled it. If it helped future generations, then good. He found ways to get others on his side, just like resisters. He gave speeches and notes, flyers and rallies, all for freedom. In 1934, Farad suddenly disappeared. Soon relizing he wasn't coming back, the group put Muhammad inn charge. The two rivals, Muhammad and Malcolm, raised the tension even higher. Soon after President John F. Kennedy's death, Malcolm was silenced for 90 days for a comment on his death, "chickens come home to roost." For being silenced, Malcolm got mad and left before his silence was over.
