• Father becomes rather harsh towards Gregor. He grabs a walking stick and a rolled up newspaper and tries to beat Gregor back to his room. Father hisses and shoos Gregor back akin to how someone might treat a bug or animal. Certainly Gregor's father holds no sympathy nor empathy in his way of approach to his son. Gregor has solely been a meal ticket for the family. As a bug, Gregor is merely a pest.

1.  He might feel dehumanized by the fact that he has such a strenuous career and he find travelling a curse as its quoted,   "What a strenuous career it is that I've chosen! Travelling day in and day out. Doing business like this takes much more effort than doing your own business at home, and on top of that there's the curse of travelling, worries about making train connections, bad and irregular food, contact with different people all the time so that you can never get to know anyone or become friendly with them. It can all go to Hell!
2. The envy he feels for his co-workers  might also make him feel that way,  as it's mentioned in the "Other travelling salesmen live a life of luxury. For instance, whenever I go back to the guest house during the morning to copy out the contract, these gentlemen are always still sitting there eating their breakfasts. I ought to just try that with my boss; I'd get kicked out on the spot."

The stresses of trade are much greater than the work going on at head office, and, in addition to that, I have to deal with the problems of traveling, the worries about train connections, irregular bad food, temporary and constantly changing human relationships which never come from the heart. We can also tell from the story page 5, that he would of quit ages ago, but he held back because of his parent's sake. He has a hope to go to the boss and tell him just what he thinks about him. Also, when he was trying to get out of bed, he couldn't and he retreacted his leg immediately. And when he finally managed to get out, he wasn't able to open the door. Eventually he was forced to open the door with his mouth. When Gregor finally left the room, he attempted to communicate with his manager. When he did, he was talking, however, nobody understood what he said. It sounded like animal voices to them and only he could understand himself. 
2- Gregor doesn't like or enjoy his job at all. He had a very demanding job and due his ''probelms of travelling, the worries about train collections, irregular bad food, temporary and constantly changing human relationships which never come from the heart.'' (Page 4, line 14-16) He wishes to quitted a few years later. He enjoys being an insect for multiple reasons, first of all he gets to experience a one in a lifting chance by being an insect he can climb on walls and gets crawls into tiny areas that he couldn't do as a human to hide from his family.
