         <description><![CDATA[<div>what kind of source is this:written<br>what time period is this source from 1944-1945</div><div>where is this source from:textbook page 35&nbsp;<br>INFERENCE:this source tells me that during the period of sook ching the japanese officers were very careful as they screen everyone. which made the live for the teenagers hard because after they get screened they will stamp u in the hand to make sure that u have passed the screenings and if you erase it you have to do it again and this means when they are taking a bath the have to be careful&nbsp;<br>EVIDENCE(page 35:when i went home,in had the rubber stamp with word 'examined' on my arm.i made sure that stamp lasted as long as possible.<br>INFERENCE:this source tells me that they had to pack up and leave because they had to get screened &nbsp;<br>EVIDENCE:"we were all asked to pack our belonging and told us to leave.we were told where to go.the Japanese led us to the area near Arab street,where people were interned,some for three days,some for one week.people went different<br>to be screened.this screening was to find out whether people were anti Japanese &nbsp;or not</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>before the Japanese occupation alot of people were getting killed by the soldiers and some were dying because of diseases. people also dying because of shortage of food and after the Japanese occupation there was lesser people dying and there was more food for everyone <br> <br> source(1)supports the source as it "tells me that during the Japanese occupation alot teenagers were killed and some also died by other reasons and they also was starving very badly". as you can see in source(1) in the picture the teenagers got alot of disease which led them to be dead and they also did not have enough food so they had to depend on every scant ration supplied by the government.<br> <br> Before the Japanese occupation people did not have to get screened and they also did not have to suffer from the soldiers and live under their control and after the Japanese occupation they had alot more freedom and they did not suffer <br> <br> source(5) supports the this source "as tells me that during the Japanese occupation everyone had to get screened"as you can see in source(5)that everyone had to get screened and sometimes the process colud take them 3 days or sometimes even one week and they wolud get a <br> red stamp to proof then they have done their screenings and if it got erased they wolud have to retake it which made the teenagers lives very troublesome<br><br></div>]]></description>
