1. Space - The world-space and/or environment around the player, which can be in various styles of area.
2. Components - The aspects that make up the game, for example an enemy, or a point.
3. Mechanics  - The abilities or aspects that the player can use inside the game, for example a certain level a character can jump or a mini game the main game can offer.
4. Goal - The ulterior objective of a game. In modern games there are often several goals, but a true goal is the untested goal of the game as a whole.
5. Rules - The aspects that make up boundaries that cause the game to present problems and conflict to the player.
