         <description><![CDATA[<div>Her family owned an Oldsmobile dealership, and her mother was Director of Nursing. She graduated at the top of her class from Clare High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Michigan State University. Debbie Stabenow is a member of the Senate leadership. As the Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Center, she makes sure there is Michigan voice at the table and that Congress’ priorities stay in line with the priorities of middle class families. Debbie Stabenow wrote the 2014 Farm Bill and streamlined more than 100 programs while making historic investments in land and water conservation, clean energy, and local food systems.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gary graduated from Rochester High School and went on to Alma College. at Alma he received a B.A. in Political Science.&nbsp; Gary began his public service as a Rochester Hills City Councilman in 1991. In 1994, he was elected to the Michigan State Senate. In junior high, he bused tables at a Big Boy restaurant, and in high school and college, he worked at a local retailer. For more than 20 years, Gary worked as an investment adviser, and Gary volunteered for the U.S. Navy Reserve at age 34. Gary serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Joint Economic Committee. Since Gary is a democrat he advocates for bills that would support the democrats. He proudly voted for the bipartisan Farm Bill in 2014 to support Michigan’s thriving agricultural industry.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
