Q.1 When 2 straight lines are parallel?
Ans. Two straight lines are parallel, when they never meet and have equal distances between them. Eg. EDGES OF A TABLE, TWO SIDES OF A CEILING
Q.2 How Corresponding angles and alternate angles are different?
Ans. Corresponding angles are the angles which lie on the same side and place of the transversal whereas the alternate angles are the angles which lie on the same side of the transversal but in different places.

Ans 1 - Alternate angle are opposite to each other whereas corresponding angle are on the same side of transversal . Corresponding angle have both exterior and interior are together whereas in alternate angle both exterior and interior angle are not marked together .
Any pair of angles each of which is on the same side of one of two lines cut by a transversal and on the same side of the transversal are corresponding angle . Alternate angles are those angles that have different vertices and lie on the alternate sides of the transversal.

Ans 2 - Parallel lines do not intersect each other and have an equal distance between both the lines . Eg - A railway track , Flag , A ladder .etc.
