Roosevelt he created the New Deal that help the U.S. recover from the Great Depression</p></li><li><p>Herbert Hoover he was he president right before this happened some say he did not do enough to protect the U.S. from this </p></li><li><p>Dust Bowl that causes a huge drought that destroyed farms and forced families to move west to search for jobs.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Student activism was about the youth rising up with their words and action to bring attention to segregation. They organized sit ins, peaceful protests, and went to school for whites only. </p><p><br/></p><p>Little Rock nine:</p><p>Nine students who went to Little Rock Central High school. They were the experimental group to Brown vs.Board of Education. They needed troops to escort them to and from school due to the fact of the student body and troops sent from the governor blocking the nine’s entrance. They each had a solider by their side.</p><p>Greensboro four:</p><p>Four college students that organized sit ins to protest against segregation in restaurants. This type of protest was spread due the these four college students. </p><p><br/></p><p>SNCC:</p><p>An organization by young folk to promote grass-root advancements, nonviolent protests, and desegregation. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
