         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have learned  that, in 1912, a         German meteorologist proposed the idea of the super-continent. Alfred suggested that in the period of dinosaurs all landmass where joined together and where united as one super-continent and he named the super-continent Pangaea.The Pangaea extended from the north pole to the south pole. Then Pangaea broke into pieces which slowly, started to drift away he named his theory continental drift. 35 million years ago the Indian landmass was starting to go beneath the Asian plate. The Asian plate crashed into the Indian landmass and it started to lift up. This eventually went on and the Asian landmass was lifted of land. This process resulted kept on going eventually this resulted  Mount Everest to grow up to 29,000 feet high this is what I have learned. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today I have learnt about the himalayan range and the formation of the continents. in 1912 Alfred Wegener a German Meteorologist proposed the idea of an supercontinent . He said that at one time all landmasses were united like a super continent called Pangaea. This super continent was at the time of the dinosaurs. It was like a giant mass. All the animals and plants and insects could spread all over the corners of the giant mass. Slowly then Pangaea broke into several pieces. Himalayan Range was formed when the Indian continenttal plate started going under the Asian continental plate pushing the Asian landmass higher . This lifting of land resulted the Himalayan Range . This is what I learnt.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>the Himalayas are the result of the crash of two tectonic plates the Indian plate and the Asian plate. Millions of years before there was only one continent which is called Pangea. Over time Pangea broke into different tectonic plates. In the duration of millions of years the Indian plate was slowly moving towards the Asian plate. When the Indian plate finally crashed into the Asian plate, it went under  the Asian plate causing a uplift which resulted in the formation of Himalayas. </div>]]></description>
