In this image we can see an old cine-theater that was very important during the second half of the twentieth century was abandoned and is currently a great source of visual pollution. The town council of Valongo, a municipality to which the city of Ermesinde belongs, intended to acquire the building to requalify it and restore some of its similar functions, seeking to return to the city a monument with a certain cultural value, but with the opening of the Maiashopping in the 90's with eleven movie theaters so close to the city center this plan was definitely abandoned.
