Hi my name is Daniel Facchiano, I am 21 years old and on my last semester here at Stockton as a Business Administration major. I grew up in Toms River Nj, and I attended Ocean County College for two years before transferring here. I played baseball my whole life. When I am not at school I work as a manager at a small restaurant in Seaside Heights. I've been cooking since I was 16, not really what I want to do as a profession but I enjoy it.

As I said earlier I currently manage a restaurant. It is hard work and early mornings but I do enjoy it. It is very stressful but I would like to one day own a small brunch restaurant by the beach. I know that is a hard thing to pull off, so I also plan on going into the hospitality or research side of the business world.

I feel that real world scenarios and comparisons is how I retain the most information. I like to see facts about the given topic I am learning.I also like to have class discussion to hear different point of views, or angles on a topic.

What I Hope to Learn

I hope to learn more on the health equity of African American woman. But overall just a better understanding of the culture and what they have gone through. I think it is important as a human to learn about and understand as many cultures and all walks of life as we can.

Thoughts About Health

To be honest I think about health disparities and equity quiet often. I am a big believer that what we are being fed, and what we were taught to eat as a society is completely wrong. I work everyday to find the truth on nutrition and what we should actually be eating, and share that knowledge with my friends and loved ones. I think it is sickening that we are being steered in the wrong direction, especially in America.

Two Facts About Me

My first fact is that I do not like my major but I was in to deep to change it. I'd rather do something in health, or environmental science.

Two is I love the gym and working on bodily function, it is one of the only things I truly think about nonstop. I think it is important for me as my family has many cardiovascular health issues.
