This is a polite reminder that students should only travel on their allocated permitted school transport. Coach drivers may carry out random checks of bus passes at any time, and students who are not holding the correct travel permit may be refused travel.

Please remind your child to ensure they have their valid bus pass with them before travelling. Students may be refused travel if they do not have a valid pass for the service they are using.

This helps us maintain safe and organised transport arrangements for all students.

We have students in our school with severe nut allergies, and exposure can pose serious health risks. We kindly ask for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all children.

• The full university application process, including key steps and deadlines for the UK and overseas destinations.

  • How to access support with choosing the right university, using practical tools to explore options, goals and next steps.

  • How to stand out to admissions teams and approach applications with confidence, including competitive pathways such as medical school and Oxbridge.

Careers & Work-Related Learning Coordinator

Our Careers, Post‑16 & Work Experience Padlet is the main place where we share up‑to‑date information for students in all year groups, not just Year 11. It includes guidance and opportunities to support career exploration and future planning from Year 7 onwards.

The Padlet brings together information about careers, college and sixth‑form options, apprenticeships, work experience opportunities, application guidance, open events, and useful Unifrog resources for both students and parents/carers.

Rather than sending regular newsletters, this Padlet is updated continuously, so we strongly encourage families to save the link and check it regularly to make sure they don’t miss important information, deadlines or opportunities.

It has been a wonderful first week back after the Easter break. I do hope that families had an opportunity for rest and a chance to enjoy the finer weather over the Easter period. We have had a bumper week so far with our Year 10s doing us proud in taking their trial exams in their stride whilst Thursday evening showcased the very best of Chailey School with our spring concert. The concert was a roaring success with all five year groups represented spanning a number of genres. Well done to all involved, and a special thank you to Mr Baxter as well as our peripatetic teachers Steph and Ashley who did a great job preparing the students. 

On Monday we hope to open the field so students can enjoy the space and have a chance to be out in the open to enjoy the fresh air.  Students would have received guidance on the field opening during their community and culture sessions, and I am sure they will be kind to our environment and the field is kept free of litter.
