Many of the ideals that farmers hold dear like community, truth, and cooperation seem to go undervalued in the more modern world. Time and time again the farmers are taken advantage of by salesmen and officers. The modern cultural/economic world that we preside in focuses on the individual and their ability to out preform those around them. The struggle of poor farmers trying to make their way in the world is timeless. Our society is becoming increasingly cut throat and it leaves little room for concern with the state of others.  If we simply cared more about each other and the continued success of one another things would be much better. It is equally if not more important that laws protect the workers and farmers of society against disasters that no one can predict.  The law is a powerful tool because it can still protect people even when the mindsets of the nation are still more reserved.
