Plastic bags are becoming more of a problem everyday. And its not good, there actually killing many animals and trees. And according to source #1 it takes between 500 to 1,000 years for a bag to decompose in a landfill. This means our landfills will keep filling up with plastic bags with no end in sight.

One thing that i'm on the fence about is that we would have to pay for your plastic bags which i mean no one wants to do. But i mean if it means we don't have to kill animals and make our earth prettier i'm in. More than 100,000 animals die every year after ingesting or becoming entangled in them. That's pretty bad.

My last argument is about the turtles. Animals that eat plastic bags can starve or choke or be otherwise injured. In 2001 study of sea turtles cited by the agency found that 68 percent of them had eaten some sort of plastic, including plastic bags. The reason why turtles eat plastic bags is because turtles eat jelly fish and plastic bags look like jellyfish in the water.

On July 1, hard work and hundreds of hours spent by volunteers had paid off. Hawaii became the first state banning single-use plastic bags at store checkouts. People will eventually accept the ban and find their alternatives purchasing reusable cotton bags and bringing them to stores.
