2. This scene is most similar to when Elie was being transported from camp to camp in the train carts. There was hardly any room and no place for them to relieve themselves. They were trapped just like Adam was in the elevator.
 3. Adam's delusions consisted of him in a cattle car, trapped. Just like his parents once were during the holocaust. He screamed and visualized himself going through what his parents once did.
4. I expected Adam to return to his senses as soon as the fresh air entered the elevator. That's what usually happens for me when I'm having a panic attack. Instead, Adam was still shaken from his delusions. He still believed that he was being rescued from the camps.

I will never forget the mental image of Elie describing himself when he looked in the mirror. I imagined someone close to death. Someone who you wouldn't immediately recognize as being a living human. 
2. Where they were, honestly, all they had to do was speak when they weren't supposed to, and they would be killed. If you wanted to die, it was easy as stepping out from a line. The real challenge was staying alive. 
3. Being a human, we can usually have control over most things. We know what it's like to be able to go out into the world and do what we please. Unfortunately for many of the holocaust victims, they weren't allowed to do any of those things. Their freedom was taken, they were not given any choices of their own. That can cause them to lose their sense of humanity.

For most of his father's employment he was never really aware of what his father was doing. The more people he encounters, the more he finds out the way some people are being treated. Bruno thinks that the concentration camps are farms and that the people in the "striped pajamas" are farmers. Bruno is told that these people are not to be considered people at all. He is still unaware of the truth so far.

Atticus seems to have turned his worry into strength. When people started hearing about his case, he started to feel anxious about how people will embarrass and harass him and his family. In the middle of everything though, he seems to have gained some confidence in himself. He even asked the "dangerous question". "Do you really think so?" This happens not once, but twice.
2. Jem and Scout found Atticus at the jail. Dill had accompanied both of them there. Atticus was there to protect his client from getting beaten up. 
3. Atticus was shocked to see the children there. He asked them to go home, but they did not obey. Jem kept resisting so much that one of the men that were there decided to pull him by the collar all the way home. Scout was not having it though, so she kicked the man and started making conversation with Mr. Cunningham instead.
