This quote relates to the theme because it is expressing to not be scared to make a change in your life.It also shows that many people stick to society expectations such as going to school or college but that is not what makes them happy.He believes that doing what you believe in will make you equally as successful.This picture relates to the quote because we can see that in this picture shows McCandless going to explore the wilderness and leaving society's expectations behind.Even though he is taking some risks they are risks he is willing to take to achieve his goals.
