         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.The problems our team encountered was that the original wheel we were going to use was a gear and gears do not roll very well and gears increase friction and gears don't have a cover or tread for reducing friction due to the smooth treads.</div><div>2. the way we revised our&nbsp;design was by using the wheels that did have a tread or cover.</div><div>3. Me and my groups model solves the characters problem of having to pick up the litter at the fair by having a basket for the load or brick and we used studs on the bottom of the basket and flipped the load upside down so the studs touch the bottom so that the load is free to move up and down the basket. We helped the characters in an extra way by using a pulley system to lift the load off the wheelbarrow and let the characters have less hassle in getting the load off the wheelbarrow. Our model is a simple machine because it includes some of the six simple machine such as the wheel and axle, the pulley and the lever. The lever part is the handle of the wheelbarrow.</div><div>The wheel and axle is the wheel in the front. The pulley is the part that lifts the load off the basket.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. The problem that my group faced was that we were going to use gears, but the gears did not roll well, so that meant that even though the gears were bigger, the gears still wouldn't reduce friction, but increase it. Also because my group and I finished early, we decided to find a way to get the load out without practically turning the wheelbarrow over.</p><p>2. We solved the gear problem by using the wheels which actually had covering so it could roll smoothly along a flat surface, we solved the load problem by using a pulley system which allowed the load to come out of the wheelbarrow.</p><p>3.  Me and my group solved the character's problem by having a steady basket to hold the litter and prevents the litter to fall out, and me and my group also made a pulley system to get the litter out, and me and my group also made sure we had a wheel on either side so the wheelbarrow would be well balanced, one more thing is that me and my group made separate axles so the wheelbarrow could turn, just in case the wheelbarrow could turn if it has to, at some point. The wheelbarrow that me and my group made wasn't only a simple machine, but on the other hand, a compound machine. it has a fixed pulley, a wheel and axle, and a second class lever. It has a pulley system which helps by getting the litter out. Also, the pulley system works by having a string wrapped around a Lego piece   and then the litter fastened on to the string. The second class lever is the handle, the effort in the lever is the person lifting the wheelbarrow, the load, which is the litter is in the middle, the load in the middle also is the reason why the wheelbarrow is a second class lever. The fulcrum is the wheel and axle in the front. The wheels and axles in the front has a movable axle which means it has the ability to have one wheel turn less and the other wheel turn more.          <description><![CDATA[<h4><br></h4><p>1. The problems out team encountered were, our handles were too small, attaching the wheels, and the wheels weren't touching the ground.</p><p>2. The way we solved the problem about the handles not being long enough, was we simply detached the handles and attached longer Lego pieces as handles. The way our team solved the problem about adding the wheels, was by rearranging the structure of the wheel barrow, therefore, there was more room for the wheels to fit. Last but not least, we fixed the problem about the wheels not touching the ground, by, putting the legs in a different position, therefore, the load would be closer to the wheels, and the load would push the wheels on to the surface.</p><p>3. A wheel borrow's job is to lift a heavy load in a big bucket on 2 pairs of wheel &amp; axles or more, which means the wheel borrow is the perfect tool for there problem. The 2 kids can simply put the litter in the bucket and then move the wheel borrow to the other area with trash or litter. The wheel borrow we created is an example of a simple machine, because, of the wheel &amp; axles as mentioned before, there are also levers on the wheel borrow, like the handles and the legs. These are only few examples of simple machines on a wheel borrow.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. the first problem we faced was the handlebars, they became too close to the wheels when we pushed everything back.</p><p>Another problem we faced was the  bin, the model became too thin, and  we could not fit the lego weight onto the wheelbarrow.</p><p>The last problem we faced was the wheels, the load was making the wheels unstable and sometimes the wheels were not touching the ground.</p><p>2. for problem #1, we just added another block to our model and used yellow connecting pieces to extend the handles.</p><p>for problem #2, we made the model thicker and used an independant axle instead of a connected axle.</p><p>for problem #3, we added another wheel to the model so it wasn't that unstable.</p><p>3. It solved the lego people's issue because all they needed was something that could carry a heavy load, and that is exactly a wheelbarrows job, with our independant axle, it was easy for them to steer, and the model was very stable because we used 4 wheels instead of two. It is a simple machine because it made the lego people's work easier, or made the work possible, we used two sets of wheels &amp; axles, which caused the model to move easier with less friction, we used 2 levers for the stands, the wheelbarrow was the load, the fulcrum is what connected it to the machine, and the effort was when we pushed it down. The levers were also the handle bars, this lever had two fulcrums, one which connected it to the machine, and one which connected it to the extension, the load again was the wheelbarrow and the effort is when we pushed it.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1.We realized the handles were too small to hold and push.Also,we tried using gears,but it just increased the friction.</p><p>2.We fixed the first problem by using a longer lego piece so that it would be easier to hold and push.&nbsp; Longer the lever(handle) lesser the effort.</p><p>Also we used the wheels the lego set provided us instead of gears.  </p><p>3. Our wheelbarrow helps Sam and Sally pick up the litter because it has wheels and handles that they can use to push the wheelbarrow.  There is also a pulley attached to the load so that they can lift it easily.</p><p>We have used the following simple machines:</p><p>A lever,because imagine turning a wheelbarrow without handles!   &nbsp;</p><p>A simple machine helps make work easier,and REDUCES effort.If we didn't have these handles,it will INCREASE the effort.</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">  We weren't sure how the characters would lift the load,so we added a pulley so the characters could lift the load.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">Of course,we used a wheel and movable axle. We used a movable axle because it would be easier to turn.Also,it would be easier to push the wheelbarrow with wheels.</span></p>]]></description>
