         <description><![CDATA[<p>People of color are 1.5 times more likely to live in an area with poor air quality that white people.</p><p>Redlining is zoning certain businesses that cause pollution, into certain areas that the government has marginalized.</p><p>Environmental racism is a type of inequality where people of color have a higher risk of being exposed to pollution, with tend to result in health problems.</p><p>Three things I can do to protect myself from air pollution is spending less time outside when the AGI, wear a mask, keep indoor air clean by keeping outside air out, and maybe a humidifier or something.</p><p>The injustices happening in Houston is environmental racism, these plants and businesses are constantly polluting communities that contain minorities. These businesses need to be relocated and needs limit how much they operate to prevent how much pollution is being produced. </p>]]></description>

         <title>CLEAN AIR ACT </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Clean Air Act is a comprehensive Federal Law that regulates all sources of air emission. </p><p>Congress designed this to protect public health and welfare from different types of air pollution caused by a diverse amounts pollutions sources. </p><p>On December 31, 1970, President Nixon signed the Clean Air Act to foster the growth of of a strong American economy and industry while improving human health and the environment.</p><p>The EPA is required to set the National Ambient Air Quality Standard; the six major pollutants are carbon monoxide, lead, ground-level ozone, nitrogen dioxide, particulate matter, and sulfur dioxide. </p><p>The Inflation Reduction Act was passed to give citizens a tax credit up to 30% for investing in wind, solar, energy storages, and other renewable energy projects. This is to push Americans to consider their environment more. </p><p>   </p>]]></description>
