         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>assessments &amp; evaluations- were becoming more relevant, and more online tools were being created </p></li><li><p> promotion of interactive learning- smart boards and were becoming more common in the classroom</p></li><li><p>collaboration and communication- email and google documents were great for allowing communication from student to student and also teacher to student</p></li><li><p>enhancing access to information and resources- their was a growth in search engines (google, yahoo, etc.)</p></li><li><p>making learning more personalized- self-paced learning was being enabled and certain systems could adjust the difficulty level of content </p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>In 2000, the goal in education, according to the NETP was finally to integrate technology into education. The world was finally seeing technological advances that allowed for technology to be included. There was also a big push for students to learn 21st-century skills. During the 1990s educational reform, there was a massive need to update and improve education as the world around education was improving. </title>
