The book was recommended to me by my mom who had read it several years ago and knew that I enjoy camping. The book inspire me to go outside and try to be more observant of the wild life. While I do not think I would want to live alone in the Alaskan wilderness I do enjoy going into wild areas for short periods of time. I enjoyed this book not only because of what it was about, but because of how it was written.
