New Workforce by Di Williams

I think the trend around moving towards a highly diverse workforce will affect HR as it may be more difficult to find the staff with the right mix of talent and acquired experience to be able to contribute in the areas needed. Organisations will need to look at their recruitment strategy more closely to find ways of tapping into a more diverse market.
One area where increasing diversity would be good for an organisation is that it will allow people to bring their own ideas and perspectives to the table which can help provide different solutions to problems.
However, organisations do need to be able to manage diversity well as it could bring problems such as language barriers, integration issues and a cost that comes with promoting diversity.

The Changing Nature of Work

This is an area which interests me, being a virtual learning facilitator, as I have some experience in work itself being redefined. This trend is largely influenced by technology and the changing behaviours and mindset of a changing workforce. If an organisation wants to hold a competitive advantage they need to be able to meet the demands of top talent. Business behaviours are changing but are they changing fast enough? Are our organisations and HR functions agile enough to keep up with the rapid speed of changing technology? Before recruitment can present a compelling case to attract top talent, a business must already have the business structures, procedures, policies and functionality to support the demands of a workforce who want to work flexibly and in a virtual space.

https://www.ere.net/the-changing-nature-of-work-employment-and-recruiting/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrhmHbDLM8o
