We all have freedom in the US, but some people take it for granted only for their selfish deeds. Our skin tones should not define us as people. It's our actions that define us. To be treated with disrespect just because of your skin color is just absurd. For hundreds of years people believe all African Americans are criminals. When really the real criminals are the people trying to make them less than any other humans. It's never right to belittle anyone just because of their skin tone. I'm sure everyone has said or heard the phrase "Never judge a book by it's cover." It seems like that phrase is slowly beginning to loose meaning, and getting into people's mindsets. All lives won't matter, till black lives matter.

People of color get lower medical treatment than white people, not because they have fewer health problems than white people, but because they are being treated unfairly. Every life is important, special, and unique. Everyone has loved ones who care about them who would be heartbroken to know that they have been killed. Everyone is unique, when a person dies its like a unique species dying off. People should not be defined by the color of their skin, everyone is unique and it would be weird to know that everyone was the same. Black people matter, the inside appearance, the heart is what matters. Judging people by the color of their skin is like judging a book by its cover, you'll never know if it turns out to be a very interesting book. All lives matter and everyone has loved ones who care about them. Everyone is unique for a reason. Coco Chanel once said In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. Looting in protest to get attention isn't a very good thing to do. There are people who are looting not in protest, just to get stuff, and they are using George Floyd as an excuse to loot. If Kobe or George was alive they wouldn't want people to loot and set cars on fire. Martin Luther King was killed because he was trying to stop racism. People are destroying their own country, their own home in protest. Embrace diversity people, we are all unique for a reason.

This is the 21st century. This should be the future of America where everyone has equality and freedom. Unfortunately some individuals are too close minded for that to be possible. It’s utterly disgusting that there are people who won’t accept different races into their country. America is supposed to stand for freedom and equality, but the police brutality, from my point of view, is no different from the redcoats. America WAS the future, but now we need to figure out what we even stand for because of the people who are supposedly protecting us. Just yesterday I saw a video of an officer pushing down a man who was peacefully protesting. So does peace work with ALL officers? No! They work with officers who have a heart and judges by actions, NOT RACE! So stay safe because who is really protecting us now? We need to stick together through this force of redcoats 2.0! And make sure to stay safe from the virus.

We should never discriminate people of different races, sizes, and cultures. Humans are curious, we like to compare things that are new to us. Racism starts when we judge people by their complexion through stereotyping. Call me a racist. I live in an area where the percentage of certain types of people are very low. All the information I learn is from the news. I judged black people as thieves, murderers, and criminals. But I don't believe that anymore. The news does not speak for all African Americans. Not all blacks are bad people. Remember people come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Criminals do too so I cannot correlate them with one single race anymore because that's wrong. And remember how I said humans love to compare things? Well, my point is I am rarely around some types of people and the media is the only information fed to me ideas about them. Once I got to high school, I met amazing people of all races. I learned not to judge them beforehand, but accept them. My message for those reading my response is life is too short to hate people, but is long enough to love them.

One more thing. I am sorry for anyone I've misjudged. Thank you.

Nobody discriminates people with lighter skin. It's not fair to be unjust to people who are different. We do not have the right to judge others when we all have our own faults. Who gave us the right to segregate black people from white people? The answer is no one. Why do people think so poorly of black people? Black people are just people who have darker skin color, that's it. How are they so different from everyone else? Racism has been existing for decades and decades, it's still here. Racism is like a plague. It doesn't help anyone and makes the situation worse. It infects people and is a threat to our communities. Racist people think black people are not as good as them, and they treat them unfairly. They think black people are not as good as them. This is not acceptable. I do not see color and you shouldn’t either. I see humans who are strong, powerful, loving, and more. As an immigrant, I moved to the U.S. to have a better life with my family and nothing has changed for the better. But as humans we should stick together and not fight each other. Nobody should be treated differently for their skin and nobody should even dare to assault these innocent people. Colored children are terrified to step outside, to pass by a police officer, to put their hands out, to do ANYTHING we can do. They are frightened to roll down their window fully to just give their license and registration to the police. It is unacceptable for people to force them to be scared out of their minds and for them to fear their own skin and their own culture. I never understood why others needed to bring others down just to bring themselves up. We are all the same. We shouldn't hate on anyone because they are "different" from us. Some people say that racism isn't real. But it is. It happens all the time. Everyone gets discriminated one way or another. We want to be safe. We cannot be safe if we are scared to go outside. Scared to buy something. Scared to play with something. We should never have to feel uneasy about going out. But it is sad to say that people of color are. My Personal Opinion

Honestly, I don't know what to think. Racism is a big problem, but how do we fix it? Sure, we can convince racists into thinking that they're wrong and that all races have to be respected, but at the same time there's just people who won't budge. All these protests against racism is great and all, but then there's protesters which are more like rioters who think it's okay to burn cities, homes, and businesses down. They can say that it's just buildings, they can rebuild it. Sure, yeah they can rebuild it, but you can't rebuild lives as easily. People depend on their jobs as a way to get money to provide. Especially entrepreneurs, they spend lots of time and money to work on their businesses, their companies, just so protesters can burn it down. I saw this video where these rioters were breaking into a store and the owner was begging for them to stop, but they didn't. That's sad, because not all protesters are acting like rioters, some are actually trying to stop the crimes and that's great. But unfortunately, sometimes their "peaceful" protests aren't as peaceful as they say they are. Sure, sometime the police start all the chaos like throwing tear gas grenades, shooting rubber bullets, and using pepper spray or mace. But using the excuse "the cops started it!" isn't valid enough to riot, loot, and use violence. If you think that violence is the only way to stop cops from being racists, then your not okay. You could say that protesters have been peaceful far too long and that it hasn't gotten them anywhere. Really? Because I remember, if I understood clearly, that Martin Luther King Jr. peacefully protested and got what he was wanting so badly, so why is it that you think, or protesters think, that it's okay to use violence. Cause violence and violence always solves a problem, right? No, if you want to stop the violence and police racism and brutality you have to fight with kindness, with courage, with peacefulness. You're not going to go anywhere with violence, it just makes the problem worse. You are no better than the cops if you use violence against others, because YOU are apart of the problem. If we want a peaceful community and country, WE have to BE peaceful. WE are the future, and if our future is full of hatred and violence, what are we going to do then? "ACAB: ALL COPS ARE BAD" this phrase saddens me. ACAB is not accurate. There are plenty of cops that are NOT racist, NOT violent, NOT bad. But, no people would rather be kidnapped or hurt and just stay like that. What if there are no police? WHO is going to save YOU? The pizza guy? No, we need cops, but eliminating them ALL is just not right, it's not the way to go. It's not good, people want to be cops because THEY want to help people, THEY want to protect them. Not because they want death upon people. Of course if there is a run in with a cop, the department can fire that person and put them in jail, but no. The government is very corrupted, they, with our president, will in fact, NOT fire or put that person in jail. Of course, the victims of these terrible, horrid cops need justice. But the government won't let that happen, so we have to peacefully protest, because violence is not taking us anywhere. Protesters are allowing the situation to get worse. Every person has worth, "Make America Great Again" this man we call our president, is a disgrace, to me, and to many others. Donald Trump isn't a good person, or president, he has done so many terrible and scarring things, and yet people still support him, why do people support him? That is our president, he's a part of the problem. That is who we voted for, he is driving this country into the ground. He is NOT doing anything remotely good for this country. "O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave" and "with liberty and justice for all" these are both false. Nobody is truly free, nobody gets liberty, and nobody gets justice. Why is it that we grew up learning the pledge and Star Spangled Banner if some of what it's saying isn't true? Either way honestly, I am in the middle of this whole thing I don't think all cops are terrible but I do agree that Black people need more respect and rights and deserve what they are fighting for and that all the cops that are involved in some sort of death or attack should be fired and placed in jail. Black Lives Matter, every race should be equal, but they aren't. People of Color will always be looked down upon unless we make change.

Racism needs to stop.No person that is white or black should never ever be judged by their skin color. George Floyd was murdered by 4 police officers. Breonna Taylor was shot, and Ahmaud Arbery was shot while jogging. No of those people should've died. Just because we are different skin colors doesn't mean we should be judged. Racism is the one worst thing that could ever happen. If your black or white that doesn't define who you are. Don't ever let anyone judge you because of your skin color because its just wrong and disgustang.- s.s
