21st Century's Judas Iscariot

I am an astronomer, I work at NASA and I am a follower of Christ. I was like Judas Iscariot, I had faith in him until I started going to a university to study astronomy, there I met a professor who was basically an atheist. He one day came up to me and said," Aren't you one of those Christians? Son I shall tell you that there is nothing such as god." I opposed him for my Lord until he said, "you know what, if you agree to the fact that God does not exist I'll make sure you get the best grades among all of these students." I thought that this would be a life changer, all the money my parents spent should have a great result. And after that moment I gave up on God. Like Judas for 30 silver coins he handed over Jesus to be crucified. Well most of you will think that I could still believe in God even after agreeing with that professor and I did that but trust me just because I denied Jesus for good grades my heart was not focused at anything, it was as though some one took my heart away from my chest and it felt as though I died from the inside. Like Judas committed suicide. I too mentally committed suicide. I fell sick until I went back to that professor and told him that God exists my heart opened I felt strengthened. I felt as though the Holy Spirit had come upon me. Like when the 12 apostles had received the Holy spirit the felt strengthened. I was able to answer his every question and shut him down.

Lesson:
The one thing that I learnt from this experience is that if you have faith in materialistic things rather than God the devil will not loose that chance of getting hold of you. So repent and God will forgive you and strengthen you.

I am a leader of a school. Just like Peter taught the whole world the way to eternal success, I teach my students how to achieve eternal success in their life through studies. Peter's guidance guarnteed heavenly blessings and my teaching helps people achieve worldy wealth. Peter and I both are ambitious to get the best of our people. I lead the whole institute with responsiblity and same were the characteristics of Peter. He and I both are bold men we want our people/students not to fall short of any knowledge and we provide all sort of help to ensure they don't lack anything. I pave the way for my students to walk on and have a brilliant future. I myself have great knowledge and have experienced things which isn't possible for many others. Though at times I do have short comings, I do neglect students yet still I know my responsibilities as a leader. I am the builder of my institute and I know that I have to build each and every compartment before I leave. I try to be an exceptional leader trying to do as much as possible.

I am the 21st century, Peter. The man who build the institute and whose guidance did wonders for many.

~Abraham( Simon Peter)

A 21st Century Didymus Thomas Judas

- Shannen Nadeem

I am a commoner, not anyone special just a normal human being who does not take things for granted and has a confirmation bias. One thing I've learnt is that its always best to question things, no matter what they may be than to just blindly believe in them. I am curious just like anyone else would be about everything and the only way to get answers is that we question them. And just like any rational human being I do too. And It is not at all bad to question things, many Christians do it as well, they not only question God's existence but also whether or not He is moral and has this lead to any bad outcomes ; not at all, in fact we have scientists who believe in the Creation of the universe by Gods power rather than the Big Bang. I highly doubt that any of you have never questioned anything. One instance of this would be that when I was a child and me and my parents were travelling to another city by train, and to pass the time I was counting, just counting, and once I reached 100 I asked my mother what comes after and she introduced me to 101, 102, 103................. and then when I counted till 1000 I asked my mother once again what comes after and she introduced me too 1001, 1002, 1003............... and so on, the point is I'm not one who settles for "It just is" I'm someone who reasons, someone who wants answers, someone who's curious. Now in hindsight I can say this that you should never take anything for granted and always question things and be open-minded.

Life lessons

Never not question things. Its something that's necessary for survival and also helps someone build a stronger faith in something and though In the case of Didymus Thomas Judas it may have been his shortcoming in hindsight it can be said that he did good and his question being answered by God is the reason we have so many followers of his in the subcontinent.

I am a Pakistani traffic police. I am greedy for money and money means everything to me. I take bribe from every driver despite being payed by the government. Since my pay is too less for me I take bribe to earn extra money. My greed has made me a sinful person. However, when I started reading the Bible I became spiritual. Jesus has entirely changed my life. Jesus’ parables about money have totally changed me and I have reduced taking bribe but not stopped entirely stoped as what ever my pay is not enough. Whenever I take bribe I rember Jesus and avoid it.

21st Century’s James, Son Of Zebedee.

~By Jotesh Kumar

I was a journalist, I worked in a company and was a protégé of my master and boss. I was a lot like James, son of Zebedee. I followed my master dearly and did all that he asked me to do, I wrote all the reports he told me to write without question. I was one of his favorite employees. I tried to follow him and tell the truth to the society through my writings. Just like James, I also had an outstanding personality and that was one of the reasons my master liked me so much. However, I was also a little rash and aggressive like James as I could not bear anyone who said wrong about my master or didn’t accept his reports. Like Jesus, he showed me the right path to success and told me not to get angry at those people. I even took a risk for my master and wrote a report on a very controversial topic which was “Political Instability caused by PMLN”. This caused a lot of unrest among the people and as they did not like the ‘truth’, they killed me on the most opportune chance. Like James I died for my master and for a good cause.

LIFE LESSONS

One thing I learned is that following Jesus, you might face a lot of difficulties and persecution; you will be rewarded in the eternal life so keep your faith strong in the Lord and repent from your sins.
