The guitar was given to me by a close friend of mine who has always been supportive of both my musical performance and goals to become a dentist, and I value their support more than anything. They tell me not to forget where I come from, and to let that be an inspiring reminder of the life that I am building for myself. The dental floss strings have a double meaning, serving both as a means of adding greater detail, as well as representing my goal of becoming a dentist. In this way, I have layered a symbol of the future onto my representation of my past.
