• Sometimes, parents are not qualified enough to teach their children

• Home schooled students are usually lonelier; introverts

3 - why you would or would not recommend home-schooling for your cousin.

For:

• He can choose his own subjects that are of his interest; and he may do well in them because he likes the subjects he chose

• Can become more independent and mature by home schooling

• Home schooled students usually outperform students educated in a school; can make him smarter or more focused
• He, as a home schooled student, is less likely to be spoilt by other students at school

Against:
• Flexibility (no deadlines, exams, etc) may cause the child to become undisciplined. It may also cause him to remain childish/immature, and not independent.
• The fact that the child can choose to do whatever he/she wants can cause him to take wrong decisions about his subjects

Conclusion
I think home schooling would be more preferable for my cousin as
- his/her parents can help him/her decide on the subjects
- his/her parents can introduce deadlines, exams, etc to discipline the child and avoid the chances of him becoming spoilt, immature, etc
- advantages outweigh the disadvantages

-I would not recommend home-schooling for my cousin because he is spoiled, so if he does home-schooling he will not study as there will be no teachers to push him to study. I personally think that home-schooling is not a very good idea for cousin James.
-It will be harder for him to focus on his studies and to hire a lot of tutors will be costly.
-He will permenantly need someone to encourage him to study harder.
-It is going to be very difficult for James to get into a good university and so it is going to be very hard to get a proper qualification.
-In my opinion, since cousin James is the only child, he is well indulged and thus being home-schooled is not going to make him independent. There is always someone that is going to have to look after him.
