The characters now have a responsibility to themselves one another and to society. In the play there are three circles:
The inner circle (how the characters are feeling)
The secondary circle : there relationship to the people in the cabin
The third circle: how the portacabin relates to the rest of the world
Every character has opinions and makes choices according to what they think therefore every characters argument has validity and isn't just shooting at the wind.
This makes the play more interesting and richer.

This could be why they go to such measure to carry out Beth's ideas as they are scared of being neglected

Inspiration for Pez's character

I got a lot of inspiration from Robert downey Jr's Iron man.

I likend them in terms of them both being smart and having the ability to make a change with the knowledge they have whether that be good or bad.

I also wanted Pez to be quite arrogant because he is smart and knows he is better then others despite this he doesn't know how his arrogance effects others whereas Robert downey Jr's iron man thrives in his arrogance and the effect it has on others.

Those are the inspirations I took from that character but studying Robert downey Jr's character I was able to draw a line between the two.

For example whilst Tony stark is incredibly smart he often turns to his emotional intelligence when faced with an ultimatum. Where as Pez has alexithymia so he cant rely on that therefore his decisions can often be completely on logic or made on an emotion that he has dived to far into. ( I explained this in character development for Pez).

Expanding my character through Stella Adler

stella Adler's unique outlook on acting helped me to mould my character to better degree then if I hadn't used some of her ideas.

For example stella Adler believes that building imagination is a key part of being a good actor and often encourages her actors to aks' where they are 'in the scene and play.

I believe she aks this so the actors can understand the context of where they are and then use they're intellect to branch of into questions like, how would someone walk in this era? How would they speak? Has their upbringing affected them? (I could go on)

So from this simple question stella Adler has created numerous pathways. This has not only helped me to develop Pez in my own eyes but also how see how my character molds into the group of the portacabin that in itslef leads to more questions this process can go on forever and is much like life endless outcomes with uncertainty through out.

This method helps you to not understand character but to completely be that character to point where you are someone else completely with natural responses and not a person playing a role. you are not on stage but wherever the play is set.

That is why I have decided to focus on Stella's adler aspect of building imagination and asking questions. So I can build Pez in my own image.

I describe Beth and Pez as the deadly duo because my groups perspective on Beth is that she is a physcopath meaning she has little to no emotion and will manipulate and use others to further her gain or reach a goal this can be particularly dangerous from Pez's perspective as he has alexithymia so he can go to deep into a dangerous emotion and not know it. Beth is smart and knows that Pez is intelligent but she also knows he is succeptible to manipulation. She manipulates him and uses his logic and alexthymia to cause destruction

Gaslight is a 1944 American mystery-thriller film, adapted from Patrick Hamilton's 1938 play Gas Light, about a woman whose husband slowly manipulates her into believing that she is going insane. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Screenplay; winning two for Best Actress and Best Production Design.

I believe this play is similar to hacktivists in the way how Beth manipulates the group to do her bidding. I don't however think that her manipulation tactics are as severe as that in gaslight

An Inspector Calls by J B Priestley, is a play that revolves around the apparent suicide of a young woman called Eva Smith.

In the play, the unsuspecting Birling family are visited by the mysterious Inspector Goole. He arrives just as they are celebrating the engagement of Sheila Birling to Gerald Croft. The Inspector reveals that a girl called Eva Smith, has taken her own life by drinking disinfectant. The family are horrified but initially confused as to why the Inspector has called to see them. What follows is a tense and uncomfortable investigation by an all-knowing Inspector through which the family discover that they are all in fact caught up in this poor girl's death.

I believe this in similar to hacktivists as it focuses on social responsibility for example

Priestley is interested in our personal responsibility for our own actions and our collective responsibility to society, to take care of one another through a shared responsibility.

This is similar to hacktivists in the sense that the portacabin group is given the power to effect the outside walls of the portacabin through there actions, it is there responsibility to ensure they use they're power Wisley. In both plays the people neglected their responsibility and refused to acknowledge the consequences for others
