I have very much been the art kid throughout my entire schooling so far so it is not surprising that my self expression is a prominent part of my character. I try not to let any idea to fester inside of me and to let them out in an artistic fashion (as seen in this image of a corner of my bedroom). This part of me has only pushed me to be a more creative person and to not let me get held back just because if something is considered not normal. However through the recent few years I have found myself going from atheism into being a member of the Satanic temple. I was hesitant to even see this as an option, as many people are upon hearing it for the first time, but through research I found that their beliefs were closest with mine. They do not believe in Satan, rather they believe in human rights, preaching equality, and the significance of science. Satanism had and still has a bad vibe to it among people who do not know much about it, which is why it was a tricky decision to make if I wanted to follow along with them or not. It has just been a part of me and I don't believe that there was a certain day that I realized it, it was always there. Thankfully I have very open and accepting parents who did not mind that I am gay, and their perception of me did not change. As well as this I was able to surround myself with supportive people as friends, coincidentally most of my friends are people who also face discrimination just because of an uncontrollably part of themselves. I believe that there is gender inequality, and that there are more doors open for men then there are for women, which is an awful aspect of this country. This in my eyes has made it so I value really close connections with people and consequentially a value for trust. Being an only child has also effected how I communicate with others, I used to be very introverted when I was younger but as of more recently, I have been able to open up more to others and make connections easier in general.
