         <description><![CDATA[<div>-King Louis XVI was the reason why France was in terrible place during his time of ruling. <br>-His wife Marie Antoinette spent a lot of money on herself, that's why she was unpopular. <br>-Monarch had power and a lot of people of France realized it was unfair. <br>-Peasants went through failures. <br>-Robespierre was the leader and he was leading towards a strong government but that fail and led to the terror. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The American Revolution and the French Revolution are similar because they both wanted to rise the Enlightenment ideas due to financial problems and inequality.  The difference between the two wars is the context of the war. The American Revolution was started because a huge amount of American's were unhappy because how British was ruling them. And the French Revolution started by the lower class because they were unhappy on how they were treated. </div>]]></description>

He made a huge legal reform with his Napoleonic Code, created lycees and made a more fair tax system. He expanded the French Empire but ousted due to the millions of lives lost in all the wars he started. </div>]]></description>

Klemens Von Metternich was the main leader who had 3 goals: ensure France could not attack other countries, create a balance of power in which no one was strong enough to threaten other nations, and  restoring of monarch to the thrones they had before Napoleon's conquest. </div>]]></description>

The Napoleonic Code was the most significant because it brought him order to France and it stated everyone equal, expect women. it's one of the few documents that influenced the whole world. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Social Contract: It was created by Rousseau, he believed that the people should give up some of their freedom so he could take care of their rights.&nbsp;<br>-John Locke: He was an Enlightenment philosopher, He argued against the belief that human beings are born with certain ideas in their minds.&nbsp;<br>-Great Fear: It was a period of time during the French Revolution where everyone was in great panic.<br>_Three Estates:&nbsp; First estate-Roman Catholic clergy &amp; Second estate-nobles, only 2% of population but owned 20% of land &amp; had easy lives.<br>Third estate-all other people: bourgeoisie, city workers, &amp; peasants. 80% of population and angry b/c paid the most taxes.<br>-Old Regime: It was the monarchic, aristocratic, social and political system established in the Kingdom of France from approximately the 15th century until the latter part of the 18th century.<br>-King Louis XVI:&nbsp; His failure to grant reforms led to the French Revolution; he and his queen (Marie Antoinette) were guillotined (1754-1793).<br>-Naturals Rights: Rights that people supposedly have under natural law.<br>-Tennis Court Oath: Pledge made by the members of the National Assembly (3rd estate) in 1789, after the Estates General meeting in which they vowed to continue meeting until they had drawn up a new constitution</div>]]></description>
