         <title>You are in Hot Water</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><sub>Demonstrating States of Matter: (Demostrando estados de la materia)<br><br>Today We Will:&nbsp;<br>1. Students will observe water being boiled on a hot plate.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>2. Students will observe the change that is beginning to take place.</sub></div><div><sub>3. As the Water Begins to heat up ask students for their predictions to help engage prior knowledge. Have students write down their predictions of what they expect to happen.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>4. As the water begins to boil have students write what is taking place in the pot.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>5. Show the students how the water is changing from a liquid to a gas by placing the top over the pot to show the steam and as it is collected on the top how it reforms into water once again.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>6. Students will write about their experience and the observation of what they saw.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>7. Students will write about their original hypothesis and then described weather it stayed true or did it change. In addition, students will describe the events of what happened and describe the changes that took place including why the water droplets formed when the lid was placed on the pot as it was boiling.&nbsp;<br><br>Hoy vamos a:<br>1.          <title>Move Like Matter</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><sub>Act It Out: (Actúa)&nbsp;<br><br>The listed video is an idea of what our assignment today will consist of. &nbsp;<br>(El video listado es una idea de en qué consistirá nuestra tarea de hoy.)&nbsp;<br><br>Today We Will:&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;1. Students will review the states of matter that have been discussed during class.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>2. Students will work together in groups to act out the different properties of matter.&nbsp;</sub></div><ul><li><sub>&nbsp;Solid - standing close together arms interlocked together.&nbsp;</sub></li><li><sub>&nbsp;Liquid – walk around the classroom but remain locked together with at least one person to change shape&nbsp;</sub></li><li><sub>Gas – move around freely letting go of anyone you were holding which allows you to change shape.&nbsp;</sub></li></ul><div><sub>3. The leader of the group will discuss what state of matter that the students are acting out and describe the phase that is being acted out.&nbsp;</sub></div><div><sub>4. Students will move through each phase the same way and act out the way that the phases of matter is and the way that the matter would move in that particular state.&nbsp;<br><br>Hoy vamos a:&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;1.
